Rochon was the sole daughter born to Zelma Staples. She was the only child born to Zelma. A businessman, she is also Zelma's daughters nurse specialist. Cerritos high school located in Cerritos is where she received her degree from. She earned a bachelor of arts degree in broadcast journalism in 1986 at California State University Dominguez (CSUDH). Minors were the study of sociology as well as drama. Rochon, who returned to CSUDH in the year 2016 she was the keynote speaker at CSUDH's College of Arts and Humanities the commencement ceremony.

Heather produces and hosts the series that explores travel on digital media called Drive Yourself Local. She travels through America's towns with the 1965 Ford Mustang. Heather has also been featured in a variety of movies and TV shows such as Nightingale Epic Movie and Tosh

Ullerup first appeared first in Battlestar Galactica remake, the Sci Fi Channel's 2006 TV show. The role she played was Julia Brynn. Ullerup was Ashley Magnus in the first and second seasons of the TV show Sanctuary until her character was written out. Many fans wanted her back despite the fact that the show had been removed from the air. Ullerup was cast in the year 2016 as Bree O'Brien for Chesapeake Shores. Ullerup appeared as Maggie Thomas the estranged husband of Michael Thomas. Ullerup regularly appears in the role of Dale Travers, in the Hallmark Signed, Sealed, Delivered movie series, since 2016.
